Logan City Council has upgraded Albert River Park in Eagleby, Queensland, with new furniture, an adventure playground and flying fox – in energising colours.
The furniture is fixed onto concrete, with some areas painted to look like picnic rugs with geometric yellow, white and grey patterns.
City Lifestyle Committee Chairperson, Councillor Laurie Koranski said the $720,000 upgrade was designed with families in mind, to provide an updated shaded play space.
“This innovative new playground will provide endless hours of entertaining and engaging fun for children of all ages,” Cr Koranski said.
“And the nearby seating and terraced landscaping allows parents and carers to relax while they watch their children play.”
Classic Galleria Mitred Slim Benches, fixed together at right angles with their diagonal joint, have been powdercoated in Pearl White and Woodland Grey – with a tailored Brilliant Yellow batten running through the centre.
Forum Seats – one and three-seater pieces – provide places to relax, supervise children and dine in the park. The seats are powdercoated in Pearl White, Woodland Grey and Brilliant Yellow to match the colour palette.
The Brilliant Yellow powdercoat is part of Street Furniture Australia’s UV and fade-resistant DuraBright range, and will be punchy for years to come.

Division 12 Councillor Karen Murphy said Albert River Park is popular among local children who regularly use its skate bowl, basketball court and existing playground.
“To get a fun and free adventure playground, flying fox and picnic facilities like this is a huge boost for the local community,” Cr Murphy said.
“This park has always been a favourite among Eagleby residents and now they have a bright new facility to enjoy and to be proud of.
“The upgrade will not only be a great addition for the residents of Eagleby but hopefully will make Albert River Park a popular destination for visitors from other parts of the city and even further afield.”
